Classification, Labelling and Packaging
Chemicals are subject to mandatory classification and labeling. The identification of hazardous substance properties and their labeling with hazard symbols is intended to protect people and the environment from harmful effects when handling chemicals.
The CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) on the classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures of substances is the implementation of the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) in the EU.
